OREANDA-NEWS. Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, speaking in parliament, announced new restrictions imposed in connection with the second wave of coronavirus pandemic.

The politician noted that less than 8 % of the population have antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, and the growth of the number of cases of infection is connected not only with an increase in the volume of testing.

Johnson asked those who can work from home again to do this. Pubs and restaurants in England will close at 10 pm. Masks will now have to be worn by all employees of shops and restaurants. The head of the government also urged Britons to avoid unnecessary socialization. The number of guests at weddings has been reduced from 30 to 15 from Monday, and 30 people can still attend the funeral. More than six people cannot come together to all indoor team sports for adults.

Johnson warned that these restrictions could last six months, and did not rule out the introduction of more stringent measures. At the same time, the Prime Minister promised that schools will remain open, since there is nothing more important than education.
