OREANDA-NEWSThe budget of the judicial system of the Russian Federation has increased over the past 20 years by almost 30 times. This was announced by the Director General of the Judicial Department at the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation Alexander Gusev at a plenary meeting of the Council of Judges of the Russian Federation.

"The amount of financing for the courts and the Judicial Department system envisaged for 2020 is more than twice the cost of 2010 and almost 29 times the amount of financing in 2000", said Alexander Gusev.

According to him, in the course of clarifying the parameters of the financing of the judicial system for 2020, it is expected to be in the amount of 219 billion rubles, for 2021 - 223 billion rubles, for 2022 - 230 billion rubles. The head of the Judicial Department recalled that in 2019, funding was initially planned in the amount of 200.5 billion rubles, but taking into account including the creation of new cassation and appeal courts, this amount was increased to 230.7 billion rubles. In 2020, the federal target program "Development of the Judicial System for 2013-2020" is being completed. This year, financing for it amounted to 9.2 billion rubles. According to Gusev, the issue of its extension until 2024 is being worked out.
