OREANDA-NEWS. Moldovan President Igor Dodon said that he plans to meet with Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill during his visit to the Russian Federation on December 19-20. At a briefing on Thursday, the head of the republic informed that he would visit Russia to take part in the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the informal CIS summit.

"There will be meetings with Mr. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Mr. Kozak, with the leadership of the Gazprom concern, as well as with Patriarch Kirill", said Dodon. Earlier, he invited the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church to pay a pastoral visit to Moldova before the end of 2019.

Earlier, the President of Moldova announced that he plans to hold a meeting with Vladimir Putin before the end of 2019 in Russia. According to Dodon, such an opportunity will be at an unofficial meeting of the CIS heads of state, which will be held on December 20 in St. Petersburg. The Moldovan leader confirmed his participation in this meeting. He noted that relations with the Russian Federation are strategic in nature and spoke in favor of intensifying bilateral dialogue.
