OREANDA-NEWS. Ukrainian forces violated the ceasefire in Donbass. This was reported on November 23 by the office of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic at the Joint Center for the Control and Coordination of the Donbass Ceasefire Regime (JCCC). “Over the past day, the total number of violations by the armed formations of Ukraine is one,” DPR spokesman at the JCCC said.

Additional measures to ensure the ceasefire entered into force on July 27. These measures imply a complete ban on firing, placing weapons in and near populated areas, offensive, reconnaissance and sabotage actions. In addition, they provide for disciplinary liability for violations of the ceasefire. Ceasefire orders must be in effect until the conflict is completely resolved.

In April 2014, the Ukrainian authorities launched a military operation against the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Lugansk republics, which declared independence after the coup d’etat in Kiev. According to the latest information of the United Nations, about 13 thousand people became victims of the conflict.
