OREANDA-NEWS. From June 1, 2021, it will again be possible to submit a request to the Consulate General of France in Moscow to extend the five-year multiple-entry short-stay visa issued by this country and expired during the COVID 19 pandemic. This was reported on the diplomatic mission's website.

The consulate clarifies that other short-term visa applicants cannot yet apply for an entry permit.

The consulate clarified that "this gradual renewal does not mean today that the conditions and sanitary requirements for entering the national territory of France have been changed for immigrants from Russia." While the borders between France and Russia are closed, only certain categories of citizens are allowed to enter the country.

To apply, you need to present a short-term multiple-entry permit for a period of five years, issued by France and expired in the period 2020 or 2021.

In addition, the applicant must have all supporting documents for the subsequent planned trip to France, depending on the purpose of the stay.

Visa applications are made by appointment at one of the 18 VFS Global Visa Application Centers.

Travelers can apply for an entry permit at the visa center of Great Britain, Greece, Bulgaria. Hungary will put a sticker in the passport for spectators of football matches of the European Championship upon presentation of not only the entire package of documents, but also a ticket to the competition. Croatia will accept a travel visa application upon confirmation of payment for accommodation.

Most European countries have begun to issue entry permits only for those of our fellow citizens who need to reunite with their families, go for treatment, work or study. Tourists are not issued visas and are not allowed to enter EU countries. This is what Austria and Germany do.
