French Ministry of Health Announced Expansion of COVID-19 Vaccination Program
OREANDA-NEWS. The French authorities intend to expand the vaccination program against coronavirus infection. Health Minister Olivier Veran said that in the near future it is planned to significantly increase the number of vaccination centers and give permission to use the vaccine developed by the American company Moderna.
At the same time, the authorities plan to expand the list of categories of persons subject to vaccination at this stage, including firefighters and social workers over 50 years old. In addition, according to Veran, before the end of January, permission should be given to vaccinate people aged 75 and older living at home.
According to the Johns Hopkins University, more than 2.7 million cases of COVID-19 infection have been detected in France since the start of the pandemic. Over 65.5 thousand people died.
