OREANDA-NEWS. In the Republic of Adygea (Russian Federation), security officers detained a native of Central Asia who was involved in the activities of the terrorist organization Katiba al-Tawhid wal-Jihad, banned in the country; it is known that a suspect was planning terrorist attacks in the city of Volgograd. This was reported on November 6 by the regional department of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSB).

It has been established that the detainee posted audio and video recordings included in the federal list of extremist materials in his account on the social network Odnoklassniki, calling for terrorist acts in Russia, the murder of law enforcement officers and non-Muslims, TASS news agency reports.

The FSB opened criminal case against the arrested man under Part 2 of Article 205.2 and Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on the fact of public calls to carry out terrorist and extremist activities.
