OREANDA-NEWS. The leaders of the Group of Seven held a teleconference and agreed on close coordination for a global response to the coronavirus pandemic. According to a joint statement released by the press service of US administration, in addition to people’s health, efforts will be aimed at supporting jobs, trade and investment.

“We are committed to doing whatever is necessary to ensure a strong global response through closer cooperation and enhanced coordination of our efforts. While current challenges may require national emergency measures, we remain committed to the stability of the global economy,” the massage says. The politicians point out that the challenges posed by coronavirus spread require “strongly coordinated international approach, based on science and evidence, consistent with our democratic values, and utilizing the strengths of private enterprise.” The heads of state also asked the central banks of the countries to take the necessary measures of monetary support.
