OREANDA-NEWS. The Royal Navy of Great Britain announced the “unusually high levels of activity” of Russian war vessels in the North Sea and the English Channel. The British sailors report of seven ships. The newspaper Metro informs that the British Navy has completed an operation to track Russian warships.

According to the Russian Navy, Baltic Fleet’s exercises were held in the North Sea. The landing ships Minsk and Kaliningrad, together with the corvettes Boyky and Stoiky practiced the destruction of submarines of conditional enemy. The strike group of the corvettes Steregushchy and Soobrazitelny prepared for defense against air and sea attacks. The tanker Kola worked out refueling on the move. The main objective of the trips of warships to the North Sea is to ensure a permanent naval presence of the Baltic Fleet, the Navy reported.
