OREANDA-NEWS. Greek military command reported that Turkey’s squadron of fighters F-16 was intercepted by 11 Greek aircrafts. It is clarified that the Turkish planes headed towards Libya through the Mediterranean Sea. Violation of the air borders of Greece almost provoked hostilities between Greek and Turkish fighters.

Apparently, Turkish aircrafts participated in military maneuvers to train an attack on Libyan territory, which was reported by Ahmad Mismari, an official representative of the Libyan National Army (LNA). He specified that Ankara is preparing for a full-scale offensive operation in the territory of Libya. The head of the LNA Khalifa Haftar said that the Government of National Accord and Turkey used the ceasefire to transfer mercenaries to Libya, and threatened to resume hostilities if Ankara does not stop the supply of weapons.
