Travelling from one region to another within the country will be prohibited. During the quarantine, it will be necessary to wear masks outdoors, the Greek agency ANA adds.

The introduction of quarantine was announced after the number of detected COVID-19 infections in Greece per day reached 2,646; this is the highest level since the beginning of the pandemic.
