According to the First Channel of Georgian television, the offender has an assault rifle gun and a grenade.

TV channel Rustavi 2 reports that there are about 30 hostages in the bank. According to available information, they are all alive, but one of the women became ill.

There is no information about what demands the hostage taker is making. Policemen and special forces officers arrived at the scene.
