In Paris, Restrictive Measures Will Be Introduced because of the Spread of Coronavirus
OREANDA-NEWS. The government of France has declared Paris and its suburbs a zone of maximum danger due to the spread of the coronavirus of a new type. This was reported on October 4 by Agence France-Presse, citing representatives of the cabinet.
According to reporters, the new restrictive measures will be announced on Monday at a press conference with the participation of Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo. It is known that restaurants will have a right to remain open if increased sanitary measures are taken. Higher education institutions will accept 50 % of students. The agency informs that the new sanitary measures will last 15 days.
On the night of October 4, it became known that the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in France increased to 16,972 people per day. This is the highest number since the start of the pandemic.
