Earlier on the same day, the Israeli Army’s press service reported that Palestinian radicals from the Gaza Strip fired about 50 rockets into the Jewish state, 20 of them were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system. Prior to this, air-raid sirens were activated in the Israeli cities of Ashdod, Ashqelon and Tel Aviv.

Israel came under massive shelling after the Defense Forces liquidated Baha Abu Al-Ata, the commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group on the night of November 12.
