Kazakhstan Agreed with Russia on the Supply of Vaccine against Coronavirus
OREANDA-NEWS. Russia will provide Kazakhstan with a guaranteed volume of the world’s first vaccine against coronavirus infection named Sputnik V. The document on this was signed by the unified state distributor of medicines in Kazakhstan, SK-Pharmacia LLP and the Russian Direct Investment Fund. The batch of the drug will be delivered to Kazakhstan after passing all stages of testing.
According to the press service of the government of Kazakhstan, the required volume for the country is ready to be manufactured by the Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology (Moscow). Vaccination for citizens of Kazakhstan from the risk group will be carried out on a free and voluntary basis. It is emphasized that it is possible only after the medication has passed all stages of clinical trials.
Earlier it was reported that the Gamaleya Institute made a request to the Ministry of Health of Russia for permission to conduct the third stage of trials of the COVID-19 vaccine.
