OREANDA-NEWS. The Libyan National Army (LNA), led by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar, will change its strategy and begin to actively use combat aircrafts. This was announced by LNA spokesman, Major General Ahmed Al-Mismari, at a press conference in Benghazi.

In addition, the officer claimed that units of the Government of National Accord (GNA), having established control of the town of Tarhuna, located 65 kilometers southeast of Tripoli, committed a lot of crimes. “Extremist groups supported by Turkey committed anti-Islamic crimes there. They looted, seized people’s property, dishonoured citizens,” Al-Mismari said. According to him, more than 20 thousand people were forced to leave the town. LNA spokesman called on countries of NATO to “react to attacks of Turkey.”

On June 6, an initiative to overcome the crisis in Libya was announced in Cairo (Egypt), providing for a complete ceasefire, the continuation of negotiations under the aegis of the UN for the gradual establishment of a peaceful life in the country. On the same day, the offer was rejected by representatives of the GNA.
