OREANDA-NEWS. For the first time since the introduction of additional ceasefire measures, Ukrainian forces fired at the territory of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR).

This was reported on July 30 by the head of the department of the People’s Militia of the LPR, Yan Leshchenko. “Contrary to the agreements reached on the armistice, the Ukrainian armed formations carried out provocative shelling of the territory of the republic,” the officer said during the briefing. Leshchenko noted that the shooting from the units of the 93rd brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces began at 0:20 local time (22:20 UTC) in the area of the village of Golubovskoye immediately after the flight of the drone of the Special Monitoring Mission of the OSCE, which observed the ceasefire.

On July 27, the commander of the United Forces of Ukraine, Volodymyr Kravchenko, announced that the militiamen had violated the ceasefire on the very first day of the entry into force of additional measures.
