This was announced by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at the XIV East Asian Summit. "The Eurasian Economic Union has gained experience in creating a single market, I would like to emphasize that the organization is open to cooperation with all interested partners", Medvedev said. "We welcome the interest that exists in Brunei, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand and the Philippines".

Medvedev recalled that a similar agreement has already been concluded with Vietnam, Singapore and China, negotiations are underway with India. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that it's necessary to combine the potential of ASEAN, the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and the SCO. He added that at the Russia-ASEAN summit in 2016, the idea of ​​forming a large Eurasian partnership was supported by colleagues.

At the same time, according to Medvedev, in Asia, on the contrary, there is a growing understanding that it's necessary to look for new formats, methods of constructive and non-conflict interaction, and not break into opposing blocs and alliances.
