Ministry of Labor will Reduce the List of Prohibited Professions for Women

OREANDA-NEWS.The Ministry has identified 21 units of production and work, which will be limited to women's work.
The new list contains restrictions on the use of women's labor in 98 types of jobs. In particular, women will not be able to work in areas with working conditions are assigned to a harmful and dangerous class. Restrictions will be removed to work as a driver of a vehicle with a carrying capacity exceeding 2.5 tons, a member of the deck crew on all ships, an electric train driver, an agricultural tractor driver, etc. The ministry noted that the criteria for revising and updating the list were danger to the reproductive health of women, affect the health of the future generation and have "long-term effects".
On June 18, the document was sent to the Russian Tripartite Commission for the Regulation of Social and Labor Relations. The Ministry of Finance expects that the new rules will come into force on January 1, 2021.
