OREANDA-NEWS. Several hundred Armenian servicemen have gone missing as a result of the armed conflict in the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a press conference.

According to the television channel Sputnik Armenia, the politician expressed hope that some of the missing soldiers survived. He also informed that the death toll in Nagorno-Karabakh from the Armenian side is about 2.4 thousand people.

Pashinyan said that the national day of mourning can be announced after the end of the exchange of the bodies of the dead.

On November 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed an agreement to end hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh from November 10. The document provides for the introduction of Russian peacekeepers into the region, the exchange of captives between the parties to the conflict, the transfer of a number of districts from Armenia to Azerbaijan and the return of refugees to Nagorno-Karabakh.
