OREANDA-NEWS. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping will discuss international issues in Beijing. This was announced on Friday, January 28, by the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.

“I think that this time a lot of time will be spent on an exchange of views on international issues. These are strat stability in Europe, and security guarantees for Russia, and the dialogue between Russia and the United States, Russia with NATO, and regional problems,” he said.

The Kremlin spokesman noted that it is planned to hold "full-fledged, full-fledged Russian-Chinese talks" in Beijing, during which the leaders will be able to talk both with delegations and one-on-one.

“These will not be the largest delegations in terms of composition, but absolutely sufficient in terms of covering those areas of multifaceted Russian-Chinese cooperation that we have,” Peskov said.

He added that the leaders will also discuss cooperation between Russia and China - trade and economic projects, energy, investment cooperation and space.

“The agenda is huge, because relations between Russia and China are multi-format in terms of topics, so a serious, rich conversation is ahead,” Peskov concluded.

Putin, at the invitation of Jinping, will visit Beijing on February 4, the opening day of the Olympic Games. On the same day, full-scale negotiations at the highest level will take place, Gazeta.Ru notes.
