OREANDA-NEWS Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow, against the backdrop of the situation in Kaliningrad with a transport blockade, is determined. It is reported by TASS.

According to a Kremlin spokesman, the Russian capital is now in no hurry to make any decisions as a result of Lithuania blocking the transit of goods to Kaliningrad.

“There is no need to rush here, but at the same time, of course, we are determined enough. A certain time is needed before decisions are made, ”Peskov explained.

In addition, the press secretary of the Russian head of state added that the country's authorities are currently studying what is happening and, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are communicating their position to colleagues from other countries.

“I would even say, unfortunately, they are no longer partners, but our opponents,” Peskov concluded.

Peskov also did not rule out that he would have to prepare for the worst option due to restrictions against the Russian side.

Prior to this, Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas dismissed all hints from Russia that it might take some "other measures", such as blocking the Lithuanian port "in some special non-contact way."
