OREANDA-NEWS Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the issue of abolishing the Russian border with Zaporozhye was not raised, RIA Novosti writes. According to him, it is “incorrect” to talk about it. Earlier, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration (MAC) of the Zaporozhye region, said that there should be no borders between the territories controlled by the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine and the Russian state.

“Apparently, this is not a completely correct formulation of the question ... This is out of the question,” Peskov answered a question from journalists about whether Russia was ready to abolish borders.

Rogov previously stated that the Kyiv authorities "cannot see the Zaporozhye region as their ears", it will never return under the control of Ukraine. According to him, the Ukrainian authorities have been talking about the return of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk for eight years, and they will make similar statements in relation to other areas not controlled by them.

During the Russian special operation, the Russian Armed Forces managed to take control of the Kherson region and part of the Zaporozhye region. Military-civilian administrations were introduced there, Russian TV channels and radio stations were launched. Both regions have announced that they have plans to become part of Russia.
