OREANDA-NEWS. The Polish government has decided to introduce new restrictive measures from October 24 in the context of the coronavirus pandemic; they will affect the work of cafes, pubs and restaurants. This was announced on Friday by the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.

“There are restrictions on the activities of restaurants, pubs, coffee houses; all enterprises of this type will not be able to work as before. They will just be able to offer food and drinks to take away,” the head of the cabinet said.

It is also forbidden to gather in groups of more than five people, unless they are members of one family. All schoolchildren, with the exception of primary grades, are transferred to distance learning.

Morawiecki noted that current measures are being introduced for two weeks with the possibility of extension. According to the Prime Minister, if there is no result, the authorities will have to take further steps.
