OREANDA-NEWS. The current President of Poland Andrzej Duda may lose the struggle for reelection in May 2020. This is evidenced by a sociological survey published by RMF radio station.

According to the poll’s results, none of the candidates will be able to get more than 50 % of the votes needed to win the first round of elections, scheduled for May 10, so a second round of voting the will be held in May 24. Only two leaders of a first stage will be able to participate in it.

Duda is now supported by 42 % of voters. 22 % are ready to vote for Malgorzata Kidawa-Blonska, the representative of the largest opposition party, Civic Platform. The leader of the Polish People’s Party Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz will be able to gain 10.4 %. 8.2 % of voters support left-wing candidate Robert Biedron. Journalist Szymon Holownia may receive 7.4 % of votes.

As the sociologists found out, only one of the candidates poses a threat to the incumbent president. In the second round, Duda may lose to Kosiniak-Kamysz with a difference of 2 %: they may gain 45.9 and 43.9 %, respectively.
