OREANDA-NEWS. Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow called the exchange of prisoners of war and bodies of those killed in Nagorno-Karabakh sensitive and requiring an early settlement. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.

“Naturally, the issue of searching for missing servicemen, the exchange of prisoners and the bodies of the dead is very sensitive and requires prompt resolution. This is especially important in light of the incoming information about numerous confirmed facts of barbaric treatment of prisoners of war,” the politician said, adding that the issue of preservation of Armenian religious and cultural objects is also important.

Ayvazyan expressed gratitude to the Russian Foreign Minister for his great contribution to the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh. “I would like to once again express my deep gratitude to the Russian side, and to you personally… for your great contribution and consistent efforts aimed at a complete ceasefire… in the conflict zone,” Ayvazyan said.
