OREANDA-NEWS. April 24, 2008. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov met on April 23 with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic, in Moscow to attend the ceremony on the occasion of the start of the work in Russia of the Montenegrin bank Atlas Bank Moscow.

During the conversation, priority tasks in the development of bilateral relations were discussed. The reciprocal mindset of deepening Russian-Montenegrin interaction and of continuing an intensive political dialogue was noted, the mutual interest in building on economic and trade cooperation, primarily in the investment sphere, was expressed and the necessity of increasing the volume of reciprocal trade was underlined. Prospects for the strengthening of ties in other fields also were examined.

The Russian Federation Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister of Montenegro exchanged views on certain international problems, including the situation in the Balkans.
