Ukrainian Government Initiated Reforms Yielding Positive Results
OREANDA-NEWS. June 05, 2012. The reforms initiated by the Ukrainian government are already yielding positive results, primarily in the area of domestic economy growth despite the difficult economic situation in the world, President Viktor Yanukovych said at “The Future of European Integration” session of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East, North Africa and Eurasia 2012 in Istanbul.
The President reminded that in 2010, the Ukrainian government had begun large-scale reforms in the economy. Among the important steps in this context he called the adoption of the new Tax and Customs Codes. "We managed to overcome the budget deficit, and it is now 2.5%," he said.
Viktor Yanukovych emphasized the need to implement the innovation-investment development model in Ukraine to guarantee the national economy growth and ensure a decent life for our citizens.
