OREANDA-NEWS. President-elect of the United States, Democrat Joe Biden said that he intends to adhere to a multilateral approach in policy towards Iran, Russia and China. He made this statement during an interview with CNN.

The politician noted that in the context of the talks on the Iranian nuclear program, Washington should work to restore close relations with the countries of Europe and the Indo-Pacific region. This is partly due to the opportunity to get Europe back to our side, Biden explained.

The United States cannot allow Iran to get nuclear weapons at its disposal, the president-elect added, criticizing the approach of the administration of the current American leader, Republican Donald Trump to Tehran. Washington cannot achieve this gain alone, therefore, in resolving issues concerning not only Iran, but also Russia, China and a number of other states, it needs to be a member of a larger group of countries, Biden resumed.
