Deputy Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Died from COVID-19
OREANDA-NEWS. Deputy Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan, Bakyt Kurmanbayev, died from coronavirus infection at the age of 49.
This was reported by the website of the Ministry. The press service of the agency confirmed this information.
It is known that since the onset of the COVID-19 epidemic in Kazakhstan, Kurmanbayev has been active in countering the spread of infection.According to official data, in Kazakhstan, with a population of 18 million people, 61,755 cases of coronavirus were registered, and 375 people died. In the beginning of July, the authorities decided to resume tough quarantine restrictions for two next weeks; later, the country’s president ordered to expand preventive measures until the end of the current month.
