OREANDA-NEWS. The e-visa regime will be introduced on the territory of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, the corresponding decree will be signed on Thursday.  This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov.

 Beglov had previously asked Putin to introduce an e-visa regime in the city from October 1.  According to him, this would contribute to the development of tourism in the region.

 How exactly this visa will operate is not yet clear, but a similar regime already exists in the Far East.  It can be issued in a few days, the visa is valid a month, you can stay in Russia up to 8 days.  At the same time, the list of countries for which its design is available is limited.  For Vladivostok, there are 18 of them, for example, India, Qatar, China, North Korea, Morocco, Mexico and the Emirates.
