OREANDA-NEWS. The European Union has sent to the British authorities an official notice of violation of the agreement to withdraw from the community.

This was announced on October 1 by the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. She noted that the violation is related to the internal market bill of the United Kingdom, which is contrary to the terms of the deal. The politician recalled that the Union called on the UK to eliminate violations in the bill by the end of September, but this has not been done. Therefore, the European Commission decided to send an official notification, which is the first step in the procedure for eliminating violations, von der Leyen concluded. She added that London has a month to respond.

On September 11, the European Parliament has already called on Great Britain to change the bill on internal markets. The British Minister for the Cabinet Office, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Michael Gove, said that the UK will not withdraw this draft law.
