OREANDA-NEWS. The leaders of the European Union member states supported the proposal of the European Commission to ban entry into Europe for 30 days.

Berlin will immediately begin to implement this agreement, German Chancellor Angela Merkel said at a briefing after a video conference with EU heads of state and government. “We all agreed with the proposal of the European Commission about entering Europe from countries that are not members of the EU… with the exception of Great Britain. We introduce a ban on entry with very few exceptions, this must be ratified by the member states and will last within 30 days. Germany will realize this immediately,” the politician said. Merkel added that the relevant tasks were entrusted to the Ministry of the Interior and the Foreign Office of Germany.
