OREANDA-NEWS. Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President, commenting on the main results of the agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh, said that the most valuable thing is that “the guns are silent” and people do not die.

“You need to turn to military experts, but first of all, of course, you need to focus on the fact that the guns are silent. This is the main result. People do not die. This is the most valuable thing that can be,” Peskov said, answering the question of how the Kremlin administration assesses the first days after the conclusion of the truce.

On November 10, the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia Vladimir Putin, Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan signed a joint statement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Opposition rallies have been taking place in Yerevan for several days; its participants demand Pashinyan’s resignation due to the fact that he signed an agreement. The Special Investigation Service of Armenia opened a criminal case under the article on organizing and holding an assembly in violation of the order established by law, the maximum sanction for it is a two-month arrest.
