OREANDA-NEWS. Precautions taken during the coronavirus pandemic are allowing Russian President Vladimir Putin to return to more active travel schedule across the country’s regions. This was announced on November 25 by Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the head of state.

“The protective measures taken and developments in terms of ensuring epidemiological safety allow the President to move more actively in the regions, which he uses, returning to a more active travel schedule,” Peskov told reporters.

Commenting on media reports that Tobolsk allegedly began to be decorated before Putin’s arrival, Peskov noted that the decoration of cities is not a prerequisite for the visit of the head of state.

Earlier, on November 24, Peskov said that the Russian leader had not yet been vaccinated against coronavirus, since mass vaccination in the country had not yet begun. A Kremlin spokesman also commented on the epidemiological situation in Russia, saying that the domestic health care system is currently experiencing severe overloads, but the situation is under control.
