Kremlin Spokesperson Named a Priority in People’s Vaccination against COVID-19
OREANDA-NEWS. Vaccination of Russian citizens and the establishment of mass production of vaccines against coronavirus of a new type for this purpose will be a top priority, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of Russia, said.
“The absolute priority is, of course, the Russians. And the vaccine production in Russia, which is already underway, will exactly meet the needs of Russians,” the politician stated.
Peskov added that the needs of foreign buyers of Russian vaccines “will be met mainly through the production chains that the Russian Direct Investment Fund is building with foreign partners.” “Once again: the absolute priority now is the Russians who wish to get this vaccine,” the press secretary of the Russian President repeated. He also added that vaccination of citizens will be voluntary.
