Lukashenko Explained the Rejection of Imposition of Quarantine in Belarus
OREANDA-NEWS. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko explained at a meeting with the government on April 7, why quarantine is not introduced in the country in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection.
“They are talking on and on about quarantine and about curfew. This is the easiest way, we will do it within 24 hours. But what will we eat?” the head of state said. The politician stressed that the problem of COVID-19 is connected with the country’s economy and the future existence of the republic.
In addition, Lukashenko threatened the government of Belarus with resignation in case of shortage of personal protective equipment for physicians in the context of the spread of the new disease. The President also mentioned that if necessary, he is ready to help doctors in the fight against infection personally.
