OREANDA-NEWS. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has instructed the city authorities of Minsk to restore order in the country’s capital during the current week.

“The bottom line is to restore order in Minsk. Without any barbarism. […] This week, order should be restored in Minsk,” BelTA state agency quotes the politician. The statement of the head of state were made in connection with the unauthorized opposition protest actions taking place in Minsk during a meeting with senior officials on foreign policy.

The President of Belarus gave instructions to prevent incidents like the one after which the 31-year-old Minsk resident Roman Bondarenko died. “And together with the law enforcement agencies, you will establish order and maintain it in society. So that there is no further confrontation… This should not happen. These centers need to be removed from society,” Lukashenko said to the participants of the meeting, which was attended by the leadership of the Presidential Administration of Belarus, the National Assembly, the State Secretariat of the Security Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the State Security Committee.
