OREANDA-NEWS. Comparing the political situation in Belarus with the events in Kyrgyzstan is unprofessional. This opinion was expressed by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during a meeting on topical issues held on October 9.

“Recently, it has been customary to compare the events in Belarus – the failed coup – with the successful coup in Kyrgyzstan. I should note that this is an absolutely unprofessional comparison, and we should not draw parallels here,” the politician said.

The President also warned law enforcement agencies about the danger of forming new, more radical ways of organizing protests. “These are technologies aimed not only at lulling our vigilance, but also at forming new, radical forms of organizing protests. Yes, they, as many say, fell into decay. It’s true. But more radical sentiments have appeared. […] These radicals are trying to drag these onlookers, young people, children into some kind of provocation,” Lukashenko warned. At the same time, the head of state noted that now there is no need for tough actions to restore order in the country.
