OREANDA-NEWS. The incumbent President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko received 80.23 % of votes in the election. These preliminary data were published on August 10 by the head of the Central Election Commission, Lidia Yermoshina.

“Alexander Lukashenko received 80.23 % of votes, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya – 9.90 %,” she said. Hanna Kanapatskaya won the support of 1.6 8% of voters, Siarhey Cherachen got 1.13 % of votes, and Andrey Dmitriyeu – 1.04 %. 6.02 % of those who voted were against all. The turnout in the elections was 84.23 %.

The Central Election Commission of Belarus believes that the final voting results in the presidential election will not differ significantly from the preliminary data, Yermoshina said. “I don’t think that the results will change significantly,” she noted.

Earlier, Yermoshina announced that the Commission plans to announce the official results of the presidential election on August 14.
