OREANDA-NEWS  The expulsion of Czech diplomats from the Russian Federation is an adequate response to the aggressive actions of Prague. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova.

According to Zakharova, these actions on the part of Russia are an adequate response to aggressive and hostile actions on the part of the Czech Republic.

Zakharova added that the Czech Republic should also be aware that the Russian side will continue to respond to the steps taken by Prague "destructive for relations".

Earlier, First Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic Jan Hamacek announced plans to summon the Russian Ambassador to Prague, Alexander Zmeevsky, in order to "express his indignation at Moscow's actions". Later, he also allowed the expulsion of all Russian diplomats from Prague.

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that all the accusations against Moscow are baseless and destructive for bilateral relations. In his opinion, on the whole, Prague is pursuing a "policy of unfriendly influence".
