OREANDA-NEWS. On September 7, at the National Arts Museum in Minsk, unknown persons put Maria Kalesnikava, a member of the Coordination Council of the opposition, into a minibus and drove away in unknown direction.

This was reported by the Belarusian portal Tut.by, citing an eyewitness. The Coordination Council does not know where Kalesnikava is, and it is not possible to contact her. Member of the Presidium of the Council, Maxim Znak, told RIA Novosti that Kalesnikava was detained. The police of Belarus are checking information about a possible abduction.

“Not far from the museum, I saw a parked dark minibus with the sign “Communications” on the board… I walked forward and heard the sound of a phone falling on the asphalt and some kind of stamping. I turned around and saw that people in civilian clothes and in masks were pushing Maria into this minibus, one of these people picked up the phone, jumped into the minibus and they left,” an eyewitness to the incident said.
