OREANDA-NEWS. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree, which excludes the state program "Development of the pension system" from the relevant list.  This is stated in a document published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

The program was never approved.  On the portal of the state programs, its status is listed as "under development".

The ministry noted that all key issues of improving the pension system, which should be adequate to the modern economic development of the Russian Federation, have already been settled by the Strategy for Long-Term Development of the Pension System of the Russian Federation (approved by the government in December 2012).

Even 5 years ago, the Pension Fund warned that limits on the implementation of this project would not be enough.  The state program envisaged an increase in pensions by 2018 to two living wages of the pensioner.
