Ministry of Labor of Russia Did Not Agree to Make December 31 a Day Off

OREANDA-NEWS. The Ministry of Labor of Russia did not agree with the idea of moving the working day from December 31, 2020 to the previous day off.
In the statement, the Ministry of Labor of Russia explained that the transfer of December 31 to the previous calendar day off would violate the current legislation
Although, this idea is planned to be considered in 2021.
There is no need to wait for the "centralized transfer of December 31" on the day off, explained Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor and Social Policy, in his Telegram channel.
“Again, only the political will of the heads of individual regions, who are ready to meet the people halfway, and again the bewilderment of their neighbors, who were left to work on New Year's Eve,” he added.
