OREANDA-NEWSGovernor of the US state of Montana Steve Bullock on Monday refused to continue to participate in the struggle for the White House as a contender from the US Democratic Party. “I entered the race with the hope of returning us to the positions that we lost, leaving behind disagreements and getting rid of the corrupt influence of dark money. Although the reasons why I started the fight are still relevant, I leave the race, full of gratitude and optimism inspired by the good people that I had the honor of meeting during the election campaign", said Bullock, quoted by an American broadcaster.

Currently, about 20 applicants are participating in the presidential race. The Congress of the Democratic Party, which will nominate a candidate for president, will be held from July 13 to July 16, 2020 in the city of Milwaukee (Wisconsin). According to a survey conducted by the Morning Consult research service, former US Vice President Joseph Biden (31%), Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders (20%) and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren (18%) are most popular among Democratic voters.
