OREANDA-NEWS. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov claimed that Moscow does not interfere in the affairs of Belarus, but contributes to solving its problems.

Earlier it became known that the United States may consider imposing sanctions against Russia in the event of open interference in the situation in the neighbouring republic. This was reported by Reuters agency, citing a senior US State Department official, whose name was not disclosed.

“We did not interfere and do not interfere in the affairs of Belarus, we contribute to the solution of problems with respect for the possibility of Belarusians to sort out their problems themselves. And it is not the first time for us to hear such signals from the United States, which quite often interferes in the affairs of other states in the most unceremonious and rude way, but we do not perceive it as something out of the ordinary,” Ryabkov said, commenting on this information.
