Movietheater "Pioneer" Complained to the Constitutional Court of Censorship Due to the Ban on "The Death of Stalin"

OREANDA-NEWS Movietheater "Pioneer" appealed to the Constitutional Court with a complaint of censorship due to the revocation of the rental certificate for the film "The Death of Stalin."
The cinema administration asks to declare unconstitutional rules for issuing and revoking rental certificates. In their opinion, such a practice is censorship, which is prohibited by the Constitution.
Despite the recall of the rental license, "Pioneer" held several sessions, as a result of which it was fined 280 thousand rubles. This was the reason for appeal to the Constitutional Court. However, it was impossible to dispute the recovery from the cinema, as well as to change the decision of the Ministry of Culture to ban the film. The court stated that “Pioneer” as a demonstrator of the painting has no interest in this matter.
