OREANDA-NEWS  The American edition of the National Interest on February 23 drew attention to a recent interview with the President of the United Aircraft Corporation Yuri Slyusar, in which he said that the first serial multi-functional fighter of the fifth generation SU-57 will enter service in the aerospace forces (VKS) of Russia by the end of this year.

As the newspaper notes, his statements sounded very confident against the background of pessimistic forecasts of Western analysts, who believed that the production of SU-57 is unlikely to begin before 2027. Therefore, there is reason to call the program to create a successful aircraft.

However, the author of the article noticed several, in his opinion, unclear details in the interview. First, his doubts touched on the latest powerful engine "Product-30", which should provide the su-57. Thanks to these powerful engines, the aircraft will be able to develop supersonic speed without damaging its stealth. The first prototypes of the aircraft were created with an older engine al-41, and it is unknown whether the "Product-30" on the first released aircraft, the newspaper notes.

Secondly, it is unclear to the author how the United aircraft Corporation coped with the price of fighters, which soared after India's withdrawal from the joint production of the SU-57. According to the publication, despite the amount of funds available to Russia for the development of aircraft, India's decision on further cooperation can greatly affect the financial stability of the project.

SU-57-Russian multi-perspective fifth-generation fighter, designed to replace the SU-27. The aircraft was created using stealth technology. The first flight of the machine made in 2010 year.

The fighter is largely superior to the American F-22 Raptor And f-35 Lightning II, capable of solving only certain tasks.

In November 2018, the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on defense and security, former head of the Russian aerospace forces Viktor Bondarev highly appreciated the technical, flight and combat characteristics of the device.
