OREANDA-NEWS. Lawyers of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who is serving a sentence in the Vladimir region, have filed three lawsuits against the administration of correctional colony in Pokrov. Petushinsky district court received three statements of claim from the defense of the politician, Russian media «TASS» reported on Monday, April 26, with reference to the registry of the court.

According to the agency, the administrative lawsuits are related to the decision of the management of colony to put Navalny on a preventive register as prone to escape, the refusal to issue books brought by the politician and purchased in the colony, as well as the censorship of newspapers received by him, which was expressed «in the seizure by mechanical cutting of pages». Navalny complained about the removal of articles from the issues of «Novaya Gazeta» and «Kommersant», it is noted further. A date for the claims has not been set yet.

Navalny was detained immediately after returning from Germany, where he was undergoing treatment and rehabilitation after being poisoned with the «Novichok» chemical. A court in Moscow on February 2 replaced his suspended sentence in the «Yves Rocher» case with a real one. Taking into account the house arrest, the opposition leader must spend 2 years and 6 months in custody. On March 15, he was delivered to colony in Pokrov.
