OREANDA-NEWS. The first president of Ukraine, Leonid Kravchuk, who recently became the head of the Kiev delegation at the negotiations of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbass, said in an interview with RBC-Ukraine that he is ready to make compromises in resolving the conflict.

“Compromises are in the area of situation management. But there are things that are not amenable to compromise: sovereignty, territorial integrity, independence, inviolability of borders,” the politician explained.

According to Kravchuk, he has only one mission – to end the war. “For peace to reign in Ukraine, for us to live in peace: without blood, without horrors, without losses, without destruction. This is my mission, so that there is peace in Donbass and in Ukraine,” he said, adding that he would do “everything he could” for this.

Speaking about the special status of Donbass, the former Ukrainian leader noted that he would advocate a transition from general words to “concrete actions.”
